We believe that the entire human race is born with a rebellious heart toward God. All of humanity would be perfectly “content” if God would stay out of their business and leave them alone. The problem is that God is a God of love and mercy. He wants to reach out to rebellious humanity and give them His love. He has done this by sending us His only begotten Son as the Divine Atonement for our sin. He has offered His Divine way when we confess our sin and rebellion and determine to live a new life of love toward God.
We believe that the Holy Bible was written by men supernaturally inspired; that it has truth without any admixture of error for its matter; and therefore is, and shall remain to the end of the age, the only complete and final revelation of the will of God to man; the true center of Christian union and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions should be tried.
- By “The Holy Bible” we mean that collection of sixty-six books, from Genesis to Revelation, which was originally written does not only contain and convey the Word of God, but IS the very Word of God.
- By “inspiration” we mean that the books of the Bible were written by holy men of old, as they were moved by the Holy Spirit, in such a definite way that thier writtings were supernaturally and verbally inspired and free from error, as no other writtings have ever been or ever will be inspired.
We believe that the Bible should be taken completely at face value; that we should interpret its meaning in a completely litteral sense rather than as a parable or allegory unless the passage itself reveals that God meant it in an allegorical sence. We believe that God’s Word is under attack by the forces of evil which are led by a literal fallen angelic being, once known as Lucifer and is commonly called the devil or Satan.
The wonderful news that we find in the Bible is that the rebellion will be put down completely and God will offer His faithful ones a glorious eternity of love, joy, and peace where there will never again be tears, pain, or suffering.
